Abstract: Two genera, - one new, and 7 species, - 6 new, are recognised in the Araeopteron genus-group from material collected in Yemen during three expeditions in 1996, 1998, and 2000. The taxa are: Genus Araeopteron Hampson, 1893: Species: Araeopteron yemeni Fibiger & Hacker, sp. n.; Araeopteron ecphaea (Hampson, 1914); Araeopteron adeni Fibiger & Hacker, sp. n.; Araeopteron schreieri Fibiger & Hacker, sp. n.; Araeopteron aulombardi Fibiger & Hacker, sp. n.; Araeopteron alboniger Fibiger & Hacker, sp. n.; Genus Araeopterella Fibiger & Hacker, gen. n.: Species: Araeopterella sterrhaoides Fibiger & Hacker, sp. n.
The Noctuidae material collected by Péter Gyulai & Adrienne Garai in the Qinghai region, China, in 1999 (Lepidoptera)
Abstract: Present paper contains the complete list of some one hundred Noctuidae species collected during the expedition to the Kuku-Noor region in August 1999, including the descriptions of a new genus, Dracoxestia gen. n., fifteen new species, Isochlora eti sp. n., I. pseudossicolor sp. n., I. ochrea sp. n., I. microviridis sp. n., Euxoa chlorophaia sp. n., Agrotis soror sp. n., Dichagyris vargazoli sp. n., D. kormos sp. n., Rhyacia admiranda sp. n., Palaeamathes csomasandori sp. n., Xestia (s.l.) sagittifera sp. n., Dracoxestia adrienneae sp. n., Apamea platoscota sp. n., Atrachea caelestina sp. n. and Cryphia omega sp. n., and a new subspecies, Xestia leptophysa microrenalis ssp. n. are given. In addition, the descriptions of further eight new species, (Isochlora (Grumia) cardinalis sp. n., I. (Chamyla) zoeldice sp. n., I. (Ch.) paulusi sp. n., Euxoa uigurica sp. n., Euxoa qaidamensis sp. n., Euxoa erythrochrysa sp. n., Sympistis nykli sp. n. and Eremohadena ochronota sp. n.), collected by Stanislav Nykl, Milan Kopp, Vladimir Paulus and Ulrich Salk in this region, and some taxonomic comments concerning with certain species of the Tibetan fauna are also involved to this article.
Additions to the Ant Fauna of Yemen(Hymenoptera, Formicidae)

Abstract. An account is given of ant species recently collected in Yemen during 1998-2000, using several different trapping methods. Seven genera and 19 species are added to the Yemeni ant fauna. The genera Aenictus, Odontomachus,
Oligomyrmex and Axinidris are recorded for the first time from the Arabian Peninsula. New species for the Arabian fauna include Odontomachus troglodytes Santschi, Leptothorax megalops Hamman & Klemm, Monomorium cryptobium (Santschi), Oligomyrmex arabicus sp.n., Camponotus mayri Forel, Camponotus spissinodis Forel and Paratrechina vividula Nylander.

Noctuidae from the European part of Kazakhstan with first records of seven species for the European Fauna (Lepidoptera)
Abstract The present collectings in the European part of Kazakhstan in the semidesert zone of the southeasternmost part of Europe include 177 species, among them seven species mentioned for the first time for the European fauna: Catocala orientalis Staudinger, 1877, Clytie gracilis (Bang-Haas, 1907), Cryphia distincta (Christoph, 1887), Pseudohadena armata (Alphéraky, 1887), Hadula halolimna (Gyulay & Varga, 1998), Cardepia additamenda Hacker, 1998 and Eugnorisma eminens (Lederer, 1855). The collections were made in the years 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999 and 2000.
Eine Lepidopterenausbeute von der Insel Madeira (Portugal) im neuen Jahrtausend Teil I. (Lep.: Psychidae, Sphingidae, Rhopalocera, Geometridae, Noctuidae, Arctiidae)
Summary: In the present article the results of a collecting trip to Madeira in January and February 2000 are given. Altogether are recorded 60 species. The material contains one species new to science, Blepharita inexspectata n. sp. and furthermore 3 species newly recorded for this island. In addition the Psychidae, Sphingidae, Geometridae and Arctiidae are reviewed for the first time. Furthermore as a result a checklist of the Madeirian species of the treated families is given containing 94 species.
Orthopteroid insects of the Adrienne Garai and Péter Gyulai expedition to Mongolia in 1997
Abstract: A list of the orthopteroid insects collected during the expedition of A. Garai and P. Gyulai to Mongolia in August to September 1997 is given. The list contains 49 species of Orthoptera (15 Ensifera, 34 Caelifera), 3 Mantodea and 1 Dermaptera.
Orthopteroid Insects from Ganesh Himal, Nepal
Abstract: A list of 86 species of orthopteroid insects is presented (32 Ensifera, 40 Caelifera, 9 Mantodea, 5 Dermaptera), collected during the expedition of A. Garai and P. Gyulai to Ganesh Himal in western central Nepal in September 1995. Three species are described as new: Letana ganesha n. sp. (Tettigoniidae, Phaneropterinae), Coptotettix diyalensis n. sp. (Tetrigidae), and Chorthippus sanlanggothis n. sp. (Acrididae, Gomphocerinae).

Description of new Noctuoidea (Lepidoptera) species from the Arabian Peninsula and with other taxonomic notes
Summary. Five new species: Interdelta jansei Hacker & Fibiger sp. n., Acrapex prospera Hacker & Fibiger n. sp., Feliniopsis sabaea Hacker & Fibiger sp. n., F. viettei Hacker & Fibiger sp. n. and F. apameoides Hacker & Fibiger sp. n. have been described and some taxonomic problems of Yemen and Arabian Noctuidae discussed. The paper includes an overview over the arrangement of the genus Feliniopsis Roepke, 1938 (=Eutamsia Fletcher, 1961) and especially its Ethiopian members.

Aus dem Kathmandu-Tal Nepals werden Paranthrene aureoviridis sp. n. und Entrichella hreblayi sp. n. beschrieben. P. aureoviridis sp. n. ist nahe verwandt mit Trilochana chrysochloris Hampson 1897, von der sie sich durch die Färbung der Vorderflügel, die Beschuppung der ETA, die Ausprägung der “Wespentaillie”, die Färbung von Patagia und Abdomen, sowie durch die geringere Größe unterscheidet.

Abstract: Two new Trichanarta species: himalayica sp. n. and albilabiata sp. n. are described; the lectotype of T. mausi Püngeler is designated. With 12 figures and 6 colour pictures.

Abstract: The present paper deals with the fauna of Elateridae (Coleoptera) from Yemen. 14 species out of 11 genera are described as new: Agrypnus oinodon n. sp., Meristhus sabensis n. sp., Saudilacon balcis n. sp., Aeoloides agriotides n. sp., Propsephus claudei n. sp., Propsephus occupator n. sp., Cardiophorus aussanicus n. sp., Cardiophorus (Perrinellus) arabs n. sp., Cardiophorus (Perrinellus) commiphorae n. sp., Craspedostethus myrrhilegius n. sp., Melanoxanthus almaca n. sp., Anchastus vanharteni n. sp., Madadicus sulcator n. sp., and Buffeventius somnambulus n. sp. The genus Buffeventius Fleutiaux hitherto placed in the Denticollinae sensu Schenkling undergoes a replacement to the Negastriinae. The distribution of the genus Madadicus Stibick is discussed. The probable placement of most of the afrotropical species of ”Zorochros” in Madadicus is considered.
A new African Attatha (Moore)(Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)
Abstract: Attatha honeyi sp. nov. is described from Cameroon; the new species is easily distinguishable from congeners by its unique pattern, particularly the absence of dark stripe along inner margin of forewing and dark patches of forewing with smooth margins. A synopsys of the genus Attatha Moore, 1878 is also presented and the following synonymies established: Fodina attathoides Karsch, 1896 (= Attatha ethiopica Hampson, 1910, syn. nov.; = Secusio gaetana Oberthür, 1923, syn. nov.).
