Claus Wurst, Rainer Schimmel & Giuseppe Platia Abstract: The present paper deals with the fauna of Elateridae (Coleoptera) from Yemen. 14 species out of 11 genera are described as new: Agrypnus oinodon n. sp., Meristhus sabensis n. sp., Saudilacon balcis n. sp., Aeoloides agriotides n. sp., Propsephus claudei n. sp., Propsephus occupator n. sp., Cardiophorus aussanicus n. sp., Cardiophorus (Perrinellus) arabs n. sp., Cardiophorus (Perrinellus) commiphorae n. sp., Craspedostethus myrrhilegius n. sp., Melanoxanthus almaca n. sp., Anchastus vanharteni n. sp., Madadicus sulcator n. sp., and Buffeventius somnambulus n. sp. The genus Buffeventius Fleutiaux hitherto placed in the Denticollinae sensu Schenkling undergoes a replacement to the Negastriinae. The distribution of the genus Madadicus Stibick is discussed. The probable placement of most of the afrotropical species of ”Zorochros” in Madadicus is considered. A new African Attatha (Moore) (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)
Abstract: Attatha honeyi sp. nov. is described from Cameroon; the new species is easily distinguishable from congeners by its unique pattern, particularly the absence of dark stripe along inner margin of forewing and dark patches of forewing with smooth margins.
