Publicity Requirements

If your organisation is successful in obtaining funding from the Enterprise Growth Fund, you will have received an offer of grant letter and an acceptance pack. The Acceptance Pack includes the following: • offer of grant letter • information on monitoring and evaluation of the Fund • social return on investment information. You confirmed in your Application Form that you would comply with all publicity requirements that would be included as a condition of grant for all those organisations in receipt of an Offer of Grant from the Enterprise Growth Fund. It is a condition of grant that all recipients ensure that there is acknowledgement of the support being provided by the Scottish Government and, where possible, the Enterprise Growth Fund for the proposal. The following pages provide guidance on what is required of grant recipients to comply with the publicity requirements. Part Two – Acknowledgement

How to Acknowledge Scottish Government Support
The Scottish Government has advised that only grant recipients should acknowledge receipt of awards from the Enterprise Growth Fund by acknowledging the Scottish Government. Acknowledgements should be relevant to the type of project, whether capital or revenue, and also be relative to the value of support received in relation to that of any other funders (as appropriate).
How to Acknowledge Enterprise Growth Fund Support
Grant recipients should, where possible, also acknowledge the Enterprise Growth
Fund when promoting receipt of awards.
Acknowledgements should be relevant to the type of project, whether capital or
revenue, and also be relative to the value of support received in relation to that
of any other funders (as appropriate).
Capital Proposals
If your proposal is for capital works, we would expect acknowledgement of both the Scottish Government and Enterprise Growth Fund support to be displayed prominently. This could be temporary site signage during works followed by a permanent plaque to be displayed on completion of works.
Signs or plaques should be displayed where they will be the most visible, usually
the visitor entrance. In the case of refurbishment or redevelopment of an area
within an existing building, a plaque within that area would suffice.
Revenue Proposals
Any printed publicity materials should clearly show the support from the Scottish Government and, where possible, the Enterprise Growth Fund. This includes annual reports, brochures, posters, leaflets, application forms, project documentation. This also includes any other promotional material developed eg DVDs.
Other Materials (for both Capital and Revenue Proposals)
In addition to acknowledgement on signs or paperwork, please remember that you could use: Posters Display Stands Press Releases (for both Capital and Revenue Proposals)
If you are arranging an event, whether an opening, launch or other publicity to which the media will be invited, should ensure that all the Scottish Government and the Enterprise Growth Fund is acknowledged. This could be by inclusion on the invitation, acknowledgement in speeches or presentations, and that the necessary representatives from the Scottish Government and Enterprise Growth Fund are invited. Please contact enterprisegrowthfund@thewisegroup.co.uk for further advice. If you are placing an advert, in particular for recruitment of staff whose salaries will be supported by the grant awarded, recipients are in control of what is printed. We would expect that all adverts contain either the Scottish Government logo or wording, and, where possible, EGF logo or wording, supported by the Enterprise Growth Fund. The wording is permissible as long as is large enough to be clear and legible. Any press releases and editorial features (newspaper or magazine articles) should contain reference to the support received by the Scottish Government through the Enterprise Growth Fund. The suggested text for inclusion within your Notes to Editors section is as follows: The Enterprise Growth Fund is a £6m Scottish Government Fund. The Fund is making strategic investments in ambitious and enterprising third sector organisations enabling them to develop, grow and become more sustainable. It
supports third sector organisations to realise their full potential and to make a
key contribution to the National Outcomes of the Scottish Government. The
Enterprise Growth Fund is managed by the Wise Group with consortium partners
CEiS, DSL and Social Value Lab.
Online (for both Capital and Revenue Proposals)
We would also expect acknowledgement of Scottish Government and, where possible, Enterprise Growth Fund support to be included in any website text, either in written form or by display of the logo(s). Part Three – Using the Scottish Government Logo

Use of the Scottish Government logo is restricted. It will only be made available
to those organisations in receipt of an Offer of Grant from the Enterprise Growth Fund. To obtain the correct Scottish Government logo, and guidelines for its use, please contact Alison.Ross@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or Juliet.Grimes@scotland.gsi.gov.uk by email.
Part Three – Using the Enterprise Growth Fund Logo

Technical Specification

The logo for the Enterprise Growth Fund has been specially designed. You
should not change it, stretch it, or crop it to fit into small spaces. Full
information on the correct colours, shades and fonts is given below. The Enterprise Growth Fund logo is available for downloading in a range of formats – jpeg, tif, GIF, EPS. It can be found at www.thewisegroup.co.uk following the links to the Enterprise Growth Fund page. Only those organisations in receipt of an Offer of Grant should download and use this logo.
Should you be using the logo for professional printing, please select the EPS
version to give greater clarity.
Colours

Professional printers require the colour reference to reproduce the colours
accurately.
When using a single colour process, please select:

Minimum Size

You should ensure that the Enterprise Growth Fund logo is clear and easy to
read. The logo should be a minimum height of 27mm and width of 35mm.

Layout/Positioning

You should leave a clear space of at least 9mm around the Enterprise Growth
Fund logo and ensure that it does not overlap with any other logo or text, and
that it does not fall off the page when printed.

Partnership Proposals

Grant recipients may be in receipt of other sources of funding to help them
implement their proposal. All funders have an expectation that their
contribution to the proposal will be acknowledged. It is expected that acknowledgement of support from the Enterprise Growth Fund is consistent with the value of the award with respect to other funders. For example, if the EGF support amounts to 50% of your total costs, then we would expect the Scottish Government and EGF logos to have the greatest prominence. If there are a range of funders with the same value of contribution to your proposal, we would expect all logos to be treated equally. If you are using colour printing, we would not expect to see the Scottish Government and/or Enterprise Growth Fund logos in black and white if other funders’ logos are shown in colour. The logos should always be present to ensure you comply with the conditions of grant. Part Four – Monitoring

As part of all monitoring visits by either Enterprise Growth Fund or Scottish
Government officials, publicity materials will be checked to ensure they meet the
obligations placed on grant recipients.
