Schmidt et al emphasized the prophylac- tic effect of indomethacin in a placebo-controlled clin- ical study (29). According to the studies by Sodemann et al, NSAIDs inhibit the migration and differentiation of mesenchymal cells which are responsible for HO formation (30).
